Call for Volunteers

Want to be a part of an event that asks how have people found new ways of living, resisting, and surviving during periods of crisis? Then join our volunteer team!

The Consortium for Graduate Studies in Gender, Culture, Women, and Sexuality (GCWS) is having a Graduate Student Conference titled ‘Liberatory Practices for Worlds in Crisis' on March 22-23 at MIT.

We are looking for volunteers to provide support with a variety of conference roles - registration, room setup, catering, load out, and more. Volunteer registration is open to both graduate and undergraduate students. The GCWS deeply values the contributions of student volunteers to make our conference a success!

With a variety of of panels and activities taking place throughout the two days, volunteers will have the ability to hear, see and experience the latest in innovative scholarship and meaningful networking around liberatory practices!

Volunteer benefits:

  • Access to event sessions upon completion of your shift or as time allows

  • Opportunity to network with scholars, activists, and visionaries in the community

  • Coffee, lunch, snacks and soft drinks included (for on-site volunteers)

Volunteer requirements:

  • Be either a graduate or undergraduate student in the Greater Boston area

  • Be available for at least one two-hour shift on either Saturday, March 22 or Sunday, March 23
